Sonakshi Sinha hugs winner Mithu at the finale of DID Super Moms
Mithu Chowdhury from Kolkata has been crowned as India's first Dance India Dance Super Mom.
This is a dream come true for Mithu, who runs a small dance school in her house.
Mithu, who is mom to two sons aged four and seven, was encouraged by her husband to participate in the competition. She beat four other contestants - Shraddha Shah from Surat, Cecille Rodrigues from Goa, Zoya Khan from Dehradun and Phulwa Khamkar from Mumbai - to win the coveted trophy.
Mithu, who lost 12 kilos in the show, has showed that weight is no barrier when it comes to dancing.
She plans to donate a part of her winning amount to an orphanage. She dedicated her win to Grandmaster Mithun Chakraborty.

------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mithu is a part of Siddhesh's team. Though she had learnt Bharatnatyam for 5.5 years, she had never performed on stage before making it to the DID stage.
When we spoke to Mithu minutes after the win, she said, "I did not think that I would win, so this is like a dream. I feel like pinching myself. The feeling hasn't sunk in yet and I still can't believe it. I don't know what to do. I can't explain this feeling. I just went blank when my name was announced. Grandmaster Mithun Chakraborty is very happy that someone from Kolkata has won the contest. Sonakshi Sinha, who was there at finals, told me that she was wishing from her heart that I win, since according to her, I am an ideal mother."
